Conspiracy Theory

So you know how Cheney supposedly pulled a muscle in his back while he was moving boxes?

Here's what I think really happened: He pretended to be injured so that he didn't have to stand up while Obama took the oath of office.

Think about it: Since when does the Vice President, a guy who's had, like, EIGHT HEART ATTACKS, lift heavy boxes? Like he doesn't have other people to do it for him?

Secondly, it's just the sort of diabolically brilliant plan only Dick could come up with. Don't you agree?

I have to confess, the whole time I watched the inauguration, I kept hoping someone would push that wheelchair down the Capitol steps.

I'm just so glad we now have a president whom I don't have to make a mad dash to the tv to turn it off once he starts talking. That will be fun. I've only pulled like a gazillion messages thanks to the last guy.

Ooh, don't get me started... Bush/Cheney/Rove deserve the worst. I hope that someday they're punished for having destroyed this country.

I've never been a fan either, but it's recently stuck me that this past administration has had, really, a very unlucky run. 9/11 almost happened during Clinton's tenure, but it didn't, and the only thing I can compare it to is Pearl Harbor. Katrina was the worst natural disaster we've ever had and I don't think we would have been more prepared for it under another presidency.

As far as 9/11 goes, I think it's the exact opposite. A terrorist attack originating in the Middle East was the best thing that ever happened to the Bush-Cheney crowd, because it gave them the perfect excuse to invade Iraq and implement policies they wouldn't have been able to otherwise.

As for Katrina, whether or not Bush was prepared, he certainly could have handled it better. He just seemed like he didn't give a sh*t about those people.

right, so if there's no 9/11, then there's a much smaller sense of urgency over terrorism, and we probably don't invade Iraq and the biggest mistake of The Bush Presidency doesn't happen. Bad luck.
